A housing cooperative is a type of non-profit housing that is designed to be affordable. Unlike rent in the for-profit housing sector, co-op housing charges must be approved by the membership. And unlike surpluses in the for-profit sector, any surpluses are re-invested in the housing to maintain it in good condition for future generations of members. While you don’t own your unit, you have a right to live in your home for as long as you wish, as long as you abide by co-op bylaws and policies.

Our members are involved in many aspects of managing the co-op and maintaining the community. As a member and resident of a housing co-op, you’re expected to get personally involved in the decisions that affect your housing. Members approve the annual budget, including housing charges, elect a Board of Directors, approve by-laws that govern Co-op operations.
As a member of our co-op, you’re also encouraged to join committees and other activities that contribute to the quality of life in our community.
We remember with gratitude that we live, play and work on lands that are, by law, unsurrendered and unceded territories of the Algonquin people. May we live with respect on this land, and in peace and friendship with its people.
